Sunday Morning Schedule

Adults meet in the downstairs parlor, children and youth meet on the 2nd floor.  All classes use the Feasting on the Word curriculum which generally follows the Scripture for the day in worship.

Choir warm-up and practice is at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday Morning (choirs do not meet in the summer)

Worship – is at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday in the fall, winter and spring (9:30 am in the summer)

The weekly service is outlined clearly in a bulletin with lots of opportunity for worshippers to participate in prayers, singing, and giving.  The adult and youth choirs sing traditional and contemporary music.  Talented musicians provide accompaniment on piano and organ.  Clergy and church members and friends share in worship leadership.  Children of all ages have a special time of worship leadership and are encouraged to remain for the service.  A nearby play room with soft toys and books for toddlers (and a changing table) are also provided – where worship can still be heard.  A larger nursery with a speaker from the sanctuary is located downstairs.  Child care can be arranged.

Presbyterian worship centers on God’s Word to us in Scripture.  Each Sunday we prepare for the Word by singing hymns, confessing the ways we fall short of the Word and receiving God’s forgiveness.  We also respond to God’s word by praying for one another and our world and by gathering our tithes and offerings and sending them out into the world in the name of Jesus Christ.

Presbyterian worship also practices two sacraments – baptism and the Lord’s Supper or Communion.  Baptisms take place when requested.  Congregation members also renew their baptism in worship each January.  The Lord’s Supper is generally celebrated each first Sunday of the month. Any and all are welcomed to the Lord’s table.  Unleavened bread and grape juice are served.

Fellowship Time – 11:30 a.m. (10:30 a.m. in the summer) in the library adjacent to the sanctuary. Enjoy a tasty treat, cup of coffee, and fellowship after worship.
